Weekend breakfast.
This is what we ate for breakfast this morning – baked blueberry French toast. You can find the recipe here, but I modified it slightly after reading the reviews.
Inhale. Stare.
That’s what I do when I have peonies in close range. I can’t get over the beauty of these flowers. I want to bury my face in them.
Industrial perspective.
This is a classic study in perspective; the type you’d have to recreate in basic art class as a youngster. Remember those days?
Spring eggs.
Vibrant colors and intricate designs painted by hand… what’s not to love about these Indian paper mache eggs?
Country life.
Denver is a thriving city, but there are still pockets of open space within the city limits. This view from the edge of my neighborhood almost makes me feel like I’m out in the country. Almost. That is, if I don’t think about the major highway hidden from view by the hill.
Four eyes.
Those of you who knew me from ages 11-13 had the misfortune of witnessing some awful specs adorning my awkward preteen face, but thankfully most of you know my face sans glasses. This is what I look like on days when I give my eyes a break from contacts.
Fresh cut.
Fresh flowers in the house is such a simple pleasure. Here are the various blooms I received on Mother’s Day all crowded in for a group shot.
Frosty brew.
During this pregnancy I’ve really missed the experience of a frosty beer in an ice cold glass. This Beck’s Non-Alcoholic not only tastes almost the same as a regular beer, but it allows me to indulge, guilt-free, in a beloved warm-weather ritual.
Happy Mother’s Day
To all the moms I know, I hope you’re enjoying a fun Mother’s Day with your children.
